Obtaining financial statements directly from companies is always the preferred option, either via their website or via direct requests.

Financials of 'public' companies (with a publicly-traded stock):

• The Wall Street Journal (Note: this is a search via Google where you will need to add the company name to the query in the search box)

Financials of companies (including 'private' ones) within specific countries:

• Germany: Bundesanzeiger (government site - free); Creditreform,+ (paid)
• Netherlands: Kamer van Koophandel (Chamber of Commerce - paid)
• United Kingdom: Companies House (government site - free)
